| Summary: | A new general description for the coupling condition in a hybrid technique is presented. Its main advantage is that the condition is not bound just to the finite difference (FD) displacement procedure, but it may be used for a variety of hybrid formulations. Hybrid method using this general coupling condition may bind more methods as FD, discrete wavenumber (DW) method, ray method or analytical solution leads to more effective modeling of source and site effects. Presented numerical examples show some two-step realizations of this hybrid coupling: Analytical-FD and DW-FD method show a possibility of local site studies. |
