International Workshop on establishment of prediction of strong ground motions
and earthquake disaster of large earthquakes
INTRODUCTION:
We are pleased to announce the international workshop that will be held
on February 20 and 21, at DPRI, Kyoto University.
The main subject of the workshop will be the study on prediction of strong
ground motions and earthquake disaster of huge earthquakes.
The aim of the workshop is to gather research studies on characterization of
earthquake source, propagation-path, and site effects for establishing
strong ground motion predictions, and on new methodologies
of strong ground motion
prediction, and discuss the earthquake disaster reduction for large earthquakes.
